Sauce

Description

For years, Frank Prisinzano's East Village restaurants, Frank, Lil' Frankie's and Supper, have been enormously popular with locals, and his trattoria on the Lower East Side is no different. Sauce seamlessly fits into the neighborhood, with low prices and progressive ideas about sourcing meats from reliable local farms. Grandmotherly charm is suggested by the slow-cooked ragu lacing homemade pasta, retro wallpaper and swagged curtains, but grandmothers might have some trouble hearing due to the thunderous volume. Lunch and brunch are a little quieter and offer great deals.
