Joseph Cartagena, better known as hip-hop artist Fat Joe, opened this sneaker store in 2016 to star-studded fanfare—rappers 50 Cent and N.O.R.E. attended the unveiling party. Fat Joe once resold toys with his father on the same Washington Heights block, and said he considers the opening of the retail location—which carries various coveted sneaker brands, as well as clothing—to be a full-circle moment.
