For their special mozzarella, you’ll need to call a day in advance as they will only sell it when its freshly made. This Arthur Avenue shop is part of a dying breed, offering high-quality meats and cheeses from a small, unassuming shop and imports of various types of cheese, including pecorino, parmigiano reggiano, goat, asiago and piave, along with meats like mortadella, sopressata and prosciutto. The shop also carries packaged goods like pastas, San Marzano tomatoes, olive oil and preserves, making it the perfect place for that hard-to-find specialty cheese with all the necessary accouterments.
