Broken English

Description

Laura Freedman, who opened her first Broken English shop in Los Angeles back in 2006, grew up with a mother who had been a Las Vegas showgirl and had the elaborate costume jewelry to prove it. She credits that formative beginning with giving her both a love of and an eye for noteworthy and eye-catching pieces. At the SoHo shop, one-of-a-kind vintage jewels from Freedman’s various globetrotting trips are sold alongside beautiful creations from well-known and emerging jewelry makers. While you can find plenty of traditional designs, the store really wows with gems that turn convention on its head in favor of truly unique designs.
