Who’s the boss, Tony Danza? No, but he is a partner in this Little Italy landmark, which specializes in imported Italian cheeses, fresh ricotta and mozzarella, cured meats, and much more. Known as the oldest Italian cheese store in America, Alleva opened more than 100 years ago, established by Pina Alleva shortly after she emigrated here from Benevento, Italy. The shop also offers customized gift baskets, catering and food for special events.
