Description

Otherwise known as BAPE, A Bathing Ape is a Japanese fashion brand featuring highly coveted limited-edition streetwear. With more than 30 stores worldwide, including London and Hong Kong, BAPE’s two-story white-and-glass boutique in Soho is a camo-lover’s dream, with BAPE’s iconic print on everything from umbrellas to towels and wallets. Kicks are likely made from patent leather or encrusted with vibrant glitter. Prices for these items are not for the faint of heart; the store’s unconventional name derives from the Japanese idiom, “A bathing ape in lukewarm water,” which describes someone apt to overindulgence.
