Rough Trade is a record shop, recently relocated from Williamsburg, Brooklyn to Rockefeller Center. First opened in 1976 in punk West London, Rough Trade became a meeting place for artists, label owners and the burgeoning independent music community. Over more than 40 years, the worldwide independent music/artist community has grown up and entwined itself with Rough Trade, gradually shaping it into one of the most trusted, respected and loved music retailers. Rough Trade will partner with Rockefeller Center to program live events in the Rainbow Room and Rockefeller Plaza, showcasing exciting new talent as well as more familiar legends.
