Wall & Water

Out of Business

Description

The Andaz Wall Street hotel is the ultimate in sophistication, with a striking, flowing design by Rockwell Group. The staff is adept at putting guests at ease. Wall & Water, reached by a white staircase, has a lounge on one side and a more formal restaurant on the other, with the full Hudson Valley–inspired menu served in both. There's a moodiness to the lighting that calls to mind the 1997 Ethan Hawke/Uma Thurman vehicle, Gattaca. Marble work stations serve as open kitchens, turning out grilled prime New York steak with roasted new potatoes, wild salmon with roasted organic beets and horseradish, and confit pork belly for two with roasted apples, rosemary and blackberry jus. Bar Seven Five, the hotel's futuristic watering hole, is lined with long, shiny black tables and serves a separate menu of bar snacks and jarred foods to go along with an extensive cocktail program.
