The proprietors, brother and sister Carlo and Gina Vutera, have crafted what looks like an intimate French farmhouse kitchen—a surprise after the speakeasy-like entrance. Wood beams, rough stone walls and lots of candles add to the vibe. The brief Mediterranean menu features hearty wedding soup, whole roasted poussin with spaetzle, Brooklyn-made ricotta glazed with olive oil, and bavette steak with romesco sauce and roasted potatoes.
