Unidentified Flying Chickens

Out of Business

Description

Need a table for a party of 15? Right this way. Unidentified Flying Chickens (UFC) has communal seating and crunchy, Korean-style wings and drumsticks to pass around, plus over a dozen craft beers on tap. Founded in Jackson Heights in 2007 by Young Jin, UFC gained a cult following after high praise from the New York Times; Jin finally opened a Manhattan branch in 2014 with partners Jenny Moon and Sam Kim. Chicken that's certified organic and humanely raised is twice fried for extra crispness and then doused in a sauce of your choosing: soy garlic, hot (but not crazy hot), sweet and spicy or BBQ mustard. Spicy pork bulgogi sliders and Mexican-style grilled corn with cotija cheese, mayo and cayenne pepper are other crowd-pleasers.
