Toby Cecchini and Joel Tompkins, also behind the revered Long Island Bar, preside over the spare, industrial space. Classic and creative cocktails are first-rate, particularly the Trans-Am, a bracing stir of rye whiskey, apple brandy and the herbal liqueur Bénédictine. The food is a cut above your normal bar fare, too, including shrimp toasts with chili and herbs, seared skate and slow-roasted brisket.
