The Jones

Out of Business

Description

The Jones is a little Noho spot that dishes out simple plates of eggs, Surryano ham, red snapper crudo and olive oil cake dusted with sea salt and scented with rosemary. There is also a hefty muffuletta sandwich, a nod to the space’s former life as Great Jones Café, a Cajun-Creole roadhouse that closed in 2018 after 35 years. Gabe Stulman (Jeffrey’s Grocery, Fairfax, Fedora, etc.) took it over, sprucing up the raffish interior while keeping intact the orange and blue facade and talismanic Elvis bust on display.
