Sunset Park is home for recent Chinese and Mexican immigrants, which means you'll find some of the most authentic representations of their food here. Tacos Matamoros is a haven for both Spanish-speakers and gringos, a spacious, festive, family-friendly restaurant open all day every day. Carne asada and chorizo tacos are the real deal, burritos are fat and filling and guacamole is made to order. The menu is pages long, representing the canon of Mexican specialties from fajitas to chilaquiles to flan, plus there's a small kids' section featuring chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. Prices are low on everything, including pitchers of margaritas and horchata.
