Tacos El Paisa

There may never be an end to the ongoing debate over who serves the best tacos in Washington Heights, but if you’re asking the locals, it’s a given that this small and unassuming Mexican restaurant near Fort Tryon Park will keep coming up in conversation. Tacos El Paisa is well loved and, not surprisingly, best known for its tacos (first-timers should start with the chorizo ones), but don’t sleep on the tortas, quesadillas or excellent guacamole.
