Serving up some of the best fried chicken and waffles in New York City, Sweet Chick’s original Lower East Side locale has since spawned four other eateries, including this outpost in Long Island City. Finely crafted comfort food can be had for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu featuring generous helpings of such classic fare as cornmeal-crusted catfish and shrimp and grits, all prepared with a chic twist. Their cocktails—try the Rico Suave Bossa Nova, a refreshing mix of white rum, spiced sorrel, pineapple and lime—are also not to be missed.
