Sushi Katsuei

Description

Sushi Katsuei’s popularity in Brooklyn’s Park Slope led to a second location, in the West Village space that formerly housed Soto. The clean, blond wood interior looks like your typical sushi joint, but what sets it apart is meticulously prepared, fresh fish that doesn’t break the bank. Omakase starts at under $60. Spectacularly light chicken katsu is also a standout. The space has just 10 counter seats and a compact, narrow dining room—so it’s best to make a reservation.
