Sam’s Restaurant
Description
This local Cobble Hill restaurant is known for its thin-crust pizza, red-sauce dishes (particularly the veal-and-chicken scallopini), cheap cocktails and straightforward attitude. A Brooklyn institution, this restaurant has been around since the 1930s and still looks like it; it’s diner-style appearance comes complete with retro lighting, red leather banquettes, wood paneling on the walls and red tablecloths covered in plastic. For decor, the walls have some celebrity photos and images of cats.
