Description
Salt & Fat, a pork-centric bistro in Sunnyside, features free bacon-fat popcorn and small plates scattered with bacon, prosciutto and ham. Chowhounds come especially for crispy Berkshire pork trotter with a slow-cooked egg on top for extra richness. Chef-owner Daniel Yi is also a businessman, so he concedes to non-pork eaters with yellowtail tartare, house-cured salmon with everything-bagel crumbs and scallops with truffled corn salsa. His menu—New American with a special focus on Korean ingredients—changes frequently depending on what's in season.
