RBC is representative of the growing coffee culture in NYC, with a cutting-edge Slayer espresso machine manufactured in Seattle that starts the brewing process at a lower pressure point and steeps the coffee in a style more typical of the French press, resulting in a smooth and complex extraction process. Beans are carefully curated from the country's top roasters, some of whom make the occasional guest appearance. Also check out the weekly coffee-tasting classes. There's free WiFi, sunny seating at a window counter and a big communal table. Bagels, croissants, scones, prepared sandwiches and sweets are also available.
