Description

Given all the excellent pizzerias in the City, is it really necessary to hit Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop in Greenpoint—the slice-friendly offshoot of his original pies-only spot? Yes, without question. Go by yourself, or with friends or family, and whenever you have any excuse. The crisp-bottomed pies are fired up in a gas oven by a crackerjack team. The shop offers classic toppings (pepperoni, sausage), along with vegan and vegetarian options. The mid-century modern space is pure nostalgia, with wood-paneled walls, an antique TV and napkin dispensers on tables. The back room features a compact bar with several beers on tap.
