Oxbow Tavern

Out of Business

Description

The recipient of many awards for his comfortable cooking style, Oxbow Tavern’s chef and owner Tom Valenti—best known for his slow-cooked meats and grilled fish—has one of the most impressive resumes among NYC chefs. After closing his beloved long-running restaurant Ouest in 2015, Upper West Siders are overjoyed to have him back, this time in a more casual setting. Valenti’s signature salmon gravlax with chickpea pancake, caviar and crème fraiche is back on the menu, and his fine dining experience comes through in dishes like pan-roasted halibut, coq au vin and the Oxbow Tavern burger.
