Oxalis

Description

Oxalis gained popularity and tested out dishes as a pop-up concept before opening as a brick-and-mortar spot in Prospect Heights. The light, spare space offers two experiences: a multicourse set-price menu in the dining room and à la carte choices in the bar room. Chef-partner Nico Russell once worked at Daniel, and his meticulous, inspired preparations have a wow factor. The tasting, or “carte blanche,” menu is ever-changing; food selections at the bar include delicious cheddar toast with charred winter greens and tender beef shoulder with black garlic.
