Description
Guy Fieri, the host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, should have bought a stake in Mo Gridder's before he featured it on his Food Network show in 2007. Since then, barbecue lovers from near and far have paid a visit to this shiny red trailer parked by an auto service center in the Bronx. While you're waiting for your heaping helpings of smoked ribs, brisket, chicken or pulled pork, you can sit at a picnic table, shop for a used car, get a tune-up or take your 18-wheeler through the truck wash across the street. Regulars stand chatting with Sonia, a sassy server with provocative tattoos who takes and gives orders through the window. Fred Donnelly, the auto shop owner, is a barbecue hobbyist, but the constant line of cars pulling up is a testament that he's no amateur.
