Miss Paradis
Out of Business
Description
Miss Paradis is a vision—a contemporary, bi-level restaurant on a Nolita corner with floor-to-ceiling windows and a big chrome apple on the rooftop. French artist and architect Philippe Starck designed the place for Parisian restaurateur Claude Louzon and his daughter Julie Louzon, producing an experience that feels more Los Angeles than New York City. The healthful menu has a mix of fish, vegetarian and vegan choices. Much of the seating is communal, and many dishes are devised to share. Among the highlights are vibrant candy-stripe beets with turmeric yogurt; seafood quinoa paella; and crunchy, satisfying fish and chips.
