Here you'll find some of the best Thai food in Manhattan, along with a nice wine list, candlelight and lovely service. The long, elegant curtains at the window make it feel like a romantic hideaway, and yet prices are in line with your average neighborhood Thai place. Little Basil is the smaller, younger sibling of the East Village's Holy Basil, with a similar selection of stir-fries, noodles, seafood and curries. Flavors are distinct and range from a bit spicy to very spicy. Beef salad, pad Thai and creamy coconut flan are all excellent. Local workers pile in for the cheap lunch specials, and it's more peaceful at night.
