La Goulue Restaurant

Description

Restaurateur Jean Denoyer’s original La Goulue opened on the Upper East Side in 1972; the French bistro was beloved by the City’s upper crust. Denoyer lost his lease in 2009, but now the art nouveau decor he had in storage is back in a new location on East 61st Street. Francophiles can rejoice that his famous cheese soufflé has also returned (served Monday to Friday only) as have the classic steak tartare, gratinéed onion soup and Dover sole.
