Description
Moonshine, mezcal and frozen margaritas help set the mood at Jax, a roadhouse in Hell’s Kitchen with a wood-pit barbecue. Some of the most popular Southern-style specialties include Texas dry-rubbed brisket and a pulled pork sandwich with spicy pickles. There are also good burgers, ranging from dry-aged beef to lamb to salmon with wasabi mayo and ginger. Local workers and residents pull up to the bar at happy hour, but it’s also a relaxed joint for pretheater dining.
