In 1996, Island Burgers & Shakes opened its first restaurant location in Hell’s Kitchen. Founded by Mark Calvino, a native New Yorker in pursuit of fulfilling his perpetual burger craving, Island Burgers has since become a NYC burger destination, serving up flame-grilled burgers and chicken sandwiches – with over 64 variations, artisanal salads and creamy milk shakes.
