Flushing is flush with great Chinese restaurants, but this is generally considered to be one of the best. At night, there's often a crowd of multigenerational Chinese families waiting to get in. What more proof do you need? West Lake beef soup, Dungeness crab with sticky rice as well as snow pea leaves with dried shrimp should seal the deal. Service is polished yet perfunctory, and efforts at elegance have been made with carpeted floors, white linens on the big, round tables, toffee-colored paneling and sparkly light fixtures.
