Heidelberg Restaurant
Description
This restaurant’s white stucco exterior with wrought iron windows looks like something you’d find in a German village. Inside you’ll find a restaurant straight out of Germany, an old-world Bavarian pub of sorts with checkered tablecloths, dark wood finishes and white lace curtains. The food is authentically German, reminiscent of the neighborhood’s immigrant heritage that dates back to the 1930s and beyond. Patrons rave about the quality (and immense portion sizes) of the sausage platter, oven-roasted pork shank, spaetzle and potato pancakes. Another crowd pleaser: the one-liter beer steins.
