Hao Noodle and Tea by Madam Zhu’s Kitchen

Description

This casual-chic spot in Greenwich Village is the US debut by Zhu Rong, an eminent restaurateur in China. Her contemporary menu sports Instagram-worthy dishes, but you’ll find both beauty and bright flavors in the tomato soup with hand-pulled noodles and meatballs; spicy fish stew; and glazed beef ribs with morel mushrooms. Afternoon tea ($18) is served daily from 2:30 to 5:30pm and includes a pot of fragrant, first-class Chinese tea, dim sum (get the crisp, delicious shrimp dumplings) and a dessert, such as silky jasmine pudding.
