Gentleman Farmer

Out of Business

Description

When you're racking your brain for a romantic little downtown bistro, it's problem solved with Gentleman Farmer. Off-the-beaten-path and snug as a subway car, this is a rustic, candlelit haven serving amazing French-American cuisine with interesting twists, such as venison sausage with blueberry reduction and wild Burgundy snails with curried garlic sauce. Gentleman farmers are generally hobbyists who do it for pleasure, but the couple running this place—Beverly Prewitt and chef Karim Nounouh—work hard to please. In addition to game are comfort foods, such as roast chicken, beef tenderloin and mushroom ravioli.
