Description
The entrance to Sister City, a new 200-room hotel on the Bowery from the team behind the Ace hotels, is hidden behind a gate. It opens onto the ground floor, where Floret, a spacious, relaxed restaurant that’s fronted by an outdoor patio, is located. Joe Ogrodnek, formerly of Battersby, and Andrew Whitcomb (ex-Norman, Colonie) conceived the wide-ranging menu. At breakfast, croissants, scones and toast with various toppings are served. Lunch brings satisfying sandwiches (roasted chicken with creamy feta) and bowls such as peekytoe crab with brown rice. Dinner features an array of seasonal vegetable courses, seafood and grilled meats with Mediterranean touches.
