Out of Business

Description

On warm nights there’s no better place to spend an evening in Brooklyn than in Faun’s bucolic back garden, which is graced by herb beds and a crabapple tree. Indoors and out, the Prospect Heights storefront is a genteel agrarian fantasy, its New American menu composed of seasonally inspired starters like blue crab with fryer peppers, cantaloupe and peanuts, and main courses of precisely prepared hake, squab and pork ribs. Chef Brian Leth has a following from his years at Vinegar Hill House, a restaurant with a similar ethos and backyard, too. Tips are built into the prices, including the drinks at the sociable bar.
