Description

Chef/partner Zak Pelaccio has brought his downtown rock 'n' roll kitchen expertise, along with chef Corwin Kave, to the Upper West Side, instantly adding a vibrant slice of nightlife to the neighborhood. This is the second Fatty Crab outpost, with the same laid-back vibe as and a similar Malaysian street-food menu to the West Village eatery. Dates should beware of the chili crab—spicy and delicious but something that will wreak havoc with white shirts and manicures. Start with an exotic cocktail like the 36 Chambers, a blend of tequila, yuzu juice, clover honey syrup and crème de violette, and move on to the affordable wine list featuring boutique producers. After that, the messiness of the chili crab shouldn't matter so much.
