Description
Cat Cora, a celebrity chef from Mississippi, has opened a bluesy, rustic canteen on a lively corner of the Meatpacking District. Cora’s Southern-accented specialties include deviled eggs with pimento cheese, crab hush puppies with creole tartar sauce, macaroni and cheese and, of course, fried chicken. Many of the items on the voluminous drink menu, like spiked mint lemonade and raspberry spice moonshine, arrive in mason jars. Fatbird is open breakfast through dinner and offers ample sidewalk seating.
