Decoy

Description

Decoy is hidden below RedFarm's Hudson Street branch, its name a clue that it specializes in duck. Peking duck, actually, tender and moist with a crackling-crisp skin. Put a posse together and make a reservation for a large-format dinner that includes pancakes, duck consommé shots, a choice of small plates, main courses, vegetable sides and fried rice. Be ready to take home enough leftovers to last for two days. Seating is at a communal table or at the bar where à la carte items are available, such as shrimp stuffed shishito peppers and lobster with wide rice noodles. Most dishes from Ed Schoenfeld and chef Joe Ng's menu upstairs are available. Night owls should stop in for late-night dumplings (served until 1:45am) and stiff drinks.
