Top Chef star Tom Colicchio was hankering to get back into the kitchen at least once a week, which is why in 2008 he debuted Tom: Tuesday Dinner in the sleek private dining room next door to his flagship restaurant, Craft. His executive chef, Damon Wise, got in on the act by taking over the room on Fridays, calling it Damon: Frugal Friday and keeping every dish under $10. His cheaper approach was such a hit he now commandeers the room every night except Tuesday, when Tom still holds court. Reservations are not accepted, so be prepared to wait in line. The menu changes frequently.
