Da Noi – Downtown Staten Island

Description

The Northern Italian Da Noi has a branch in Midtown Manhattan; one in Bayonne, New Jersey; and two in Staten Island, the more convenient of which is near the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and Fort Wadsworth. Restaurateur Edward Gomez's subtly lit, clubby space is attractively furnished with framed Italian posters and a wrought-iron screen dividing the bar from the wood-detailed dining room. The best dishes include sautéed chicken livers, tender osso buco (available occasionally as a special) and meat tortellini gratinati with peas and prosciutto studding the plush pink sauce.
