This relaxed, laid-back café, located across the street from local culinary legends Red Rooster and Sylvia’s, has undergone a recent name change—but the restaurant formerly known as Lenox Social still pumps out American neo-soul food classics like striped bass, lump crabcakes, meatloaf sandwiches and buttermilk fried chicken. All of the Corner Social’s bread comes from Hot Bread Kitchen, a local nonprofit group, and some of their vegetables are grown in a garden run by Harlem students.
