Finding Coco & Cru on a busy Broadway corner in Noho is an unexpected pleasure. This independent, all-day café has a relaxed, laptop-friendly vibe and fulfills a veritable wish list: healthy, organic fare at a fair price; strong and well-made coffee drinks; and a full bar. An Australian, Cory Lee, is one of the partners (Coco and Cru are his children), which explains the Aussie influence when it comes to the burger, made from grass-fed beef and topped with pineapple, beet and a fried egg. Brunch is served throughout the day, from bowls of granola to bowls of greens and mixed grains.
