Chama Mama Chelsea
Description
Georgian food—from the country in the Caucasus, not the southern US state—is having a moment, and Chama Mama is a great place to explore it. The airy, contemporary space straddles Chelsea and the West Village, its glassed-in kitchen turning out the Instagram sensation adjaruli khachapuri: luscious, buttery, open-faced cheese bread (shaped like a boat) with a golden egg yolk at its center. Also great for sharing are handmade dumplings and slow-roasted game hen in a creamy garlic sauce. Delicious Georgian wines round out the many reasons to go.
