Friendly smiles greet customers at this modern Sri Lankan storefront, about a mile's walk from the ferry. Sri Lankan regulars come from near and far for the authentic flavors of home at cheap prices. The staff takes care in the food's preparation and presentation, so don't expect fast food. For an entrée typical of the South Asian country, try crisp hoppers (crepes) with egg, katta sambol (a mixture of chili and dried fish) and a helping of fish, chicken, mutton or beef curry. Other delicious representations of the cuisine are coconut roti and deviled shrimp stir-fried with spicy green and red peppers, onions, ginger, garlic and tomato sauce.
