The enormous red awning wrapped around the building at the corner of Arthur Avenue and E. 184th Street makes Catania’s Pizzeria hard to miss. It’s one of the Bronx’s more popular go-to places for a traditional New York slice of pizza. Don’t expect fancy digs or trendy ingredients like truffles or artichokes. Instead you’ll find an old-school pizzeria with laminate tables and wooden chairs, where they serve satisfying menu items like calzones (a fan favorite), chicken and sausage rolls, lasagna and various hot and cold sandwiches.
