Cafe Gitane

Description

The granddaddy of NoLIta café society, Café Gitane was one of the first upscale spots to open in the neighborhood during the ’90s. Nearly 20 years later, it’s still serving up French-Moroccan dishes like couscous with red peppers and eggplant, and smoked salmon tartare, as well as a wide selection of coffees and teas to the models, artists, tourists and shoe shoppers who flood its small dining room each day.
