Description
Mid-century modern fans will be in heaven at Bongo, with original furniture by George Nelson, Charles and Ray Eames and Alvar Aalto, among other giants of the era. What's more, all the seating has been reupholstered in authentic Knoll fabric. Partners Andrea Cohen and Jeffrey Bell scoured flea markets and antiques stores for vintage decanters, glassware and pottery as well, displayed on shelves throughout the house-like space. There is a list of about 30 cocktails, some of which come in mini or regular sizes, and seafood is served in individual or party-size portions. A daily selection of six oysters is supplemented by lobster rolls, a crab cake sandwich and a salad with shrimp and avocado.
