Birds of a Feather

Description

Ziqiang Lu, who earned a Michelin star at Midtown’s Café China, heads the kitchen at Birds of a Feather—a new-wave Chinese restaurant in Williamsburg. The owners, Xian Zhang and Yiming Wang, are also behind China Blue in Tribeca. The couple’s big-hearted hospitality includes “Library Lunch” on weekdays from noon to 5pm, during which patrons can use the spare, inviting dining room to work with help from plentiful power outlets and free WiFi. The Szechuan-accented food displays a light, no-corn-starch touch. Try the steamed soup buns, garlicky snow pea shoots and double-cooked, thinly sliced pork with leeks and smoked tofu.
