BeeHive Oven Biscuit Café

Out of Business

Description

BeeHive Oven comes to New York City courtesy of Texas transplants Treva and John Chadwell, who arrived here after Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012 to help volunteer by providing chicken and biscuits to those affected in the Rockaway Beach area. As it turns out, biscuits were a big hit, and in 2013 the duo started appearing at Smorgasburg and then opened their storefront in Williamsburg in 2014. The menu includes such Southern favorites as chicken-fried steak, vegetable okra gumbo, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, fried chicken and—of course—a large number of biscuits.
