Bedawi Cafe
Description
Bedawi is an Arabic dialect spoken by bedouins, whose historically nomadic lifestyle is depicted on a series of paintings embellishing the walls at this small café. It's a friendly neighborhood place peopled by Brooklynites whose diet is undoubtedly more varied than the forebears Bedawi celebrates. There are lots of fresh salads, freshly baked breads, spinach and cheese pie, falafel, leg of lamb and individual pizzas on pita crust. Hot mint tea is the favored drink; if you'd like something stronger, it's BYOB.
