Out of Business

Description

Please note: this business is now closed; nycgo.com keeps record of many old and closed venues. For an uptown restaurant, Bar Bao—the newest offering from Vietnamese wunderkind Michael Bao Huynh—feels very downtown. The menu is adventurous (try the grilled ginger-glazed duck breast with taro confit hash), and supported by many playful small plates, like the caramelized baby lamb lollipops with jalapeno pesto. And hipster designers Jason Volenec and Silvia Zofio of RKIT transformed the space into the look of an aging Hanoi bar, complete with old Vietnamese propaganda posters.
